Tis the Season to be Jorry

Christmas time is here!

It really is such wonderful time of year. It is also FaRaRaRa finals time at our house. So we continued our gingerbread house tradition with some of our law school buddies to celebrate being halfway through law school.

Ah, the difference a year makes. In this picture from last year's party, unbeknownst to us, there was a little bug growing in my belly.

And here we are a year later a family of three (and our decorating skills have not improved.) This worked out just in time for finals when Tay becomes nonexistent for about 3 weeks, because this year I had a Beckham sized buddy to escort me to holiday festivities.

So, in honor of the holiday season, here's what we've been up to . . . in pictures and Christmas carols.

Deck the harrs with bourrs of horry.

I start with that song in honor of one of my favorite Christmas movies and my parents currently residing in Asia.

Santa Claus is coming to town.

Since we've no place to go . . . Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It's the most wonderful time of the year . . .

There'll be parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting and caroling out in the snow.There'll be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases long long ago . . .

Now I don't know about you, but who doesn't love a good old fashioned Christmas skort? At this year's ugly sweater party I brought back the glories of Christmas circa 1990. And don't miss Beckham's equally awesome "Santa is my homeboy" onesie. Thanks Tiatia.

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer . . .

had a very shiny nose.

Oh there's no place like home for the holidays

'cause no matter how far away you roam

If you want to be happy in a million ways

for the holidays you can't beat home sweet home.

(Beck is much happier than he looks. Even if Tiatia and Auntie Al were making fun of him for crying.)

This Christmas home is where our family is. And this Christmas Beckham got to meet his Grandpa Kelly and Auntie Al for the first time. It was so great.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase for kids from 1 to 92

although it's been said many times many ways . . .
