Tay flew from Lovelock, took the bar in Denver, and then flew into Salt Lake City where Beck and I could not wait to pick him up after 6 crazy weeks apart. It worked out perfect because we were able to be a part of Grandpa Cal's surprise 80th birthday celebration. My grandma planned a great little shindig in my aunt and uncle's gorgeous back yard. It was so fun to be able to show up and surprise him. I mean, 80 years sure is something celebrate.
There, that's a little bit better.
Beck was not to be bothered with pictures as he was too busy picking raspberries and saying hello to the chickens.
We watched an awesome tribute video by Tia that highlighted Grandpa's cowboyness (seen here), and Grandpa's two main ladies (seen below) did a fantastic job attempting to keep this whole thing a secret.
I love this photo of these two lovebirds. Married for 61 years. That is something to celebrate too!
I stole some pictures of the festivities from my grandma. Here's the birthday boy with about a third of his grandkids, as we attempted to take a good picture. We're kind of an unruly bunch.

Happy 80th Grandpa Cal! Cheers to twenty more!
